Round Island - Seychelles

This small, round island, dense with rich vegetation, is 900 metres off Cerf and just over four kilometres from Mahé. The entire area is open for underwater exploration and the coral between the islands makes it particularly rich in fish and marine life.
Shellfish and starfish abound near the sandy beaches.

For several years, until 1942, the island was used as a quarantine area for female lepers.
